There are over 450 lakes (at least one hectar) at Mäntyharju. The Juolasvesi-lake (translates to "Juolas water") is one of the largest ones. It's water-quality is excellent. The average depth of the lake is 8,5 meters and the deepest place is 33,9 meters. The most common fishes are perch, pike and vendace. The Lakehouse is located in a place that is sheltered by multiple islands which is beneficial for the waters wave conditions - it is calmer than the open areas of the lake.
