In Miekankoski there is a coffee shop during the summertime. There is also a small log rolling museum. The buildings are authentic buildings from the time of "log floating" where the timbers were transported by floating them in the lakes to their destinations. In Miekankoski that ended at around 1970 - replaced by other means of transportation. "Log floating" (tukinuitto) was begun in the 17th century in Finland.
Nearby is also the Alho homemuseum (8km).
